President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday inaugurated the presidential campaign of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State and presented the party’s flag to its presidential candidate, Chief Bola Tinubu.

The president, who also presented the party’s flag to the governorship candidate in Bauch State, Amb. Sadiq Abubakar, urged the party supporters to unite and vote for APC candidates at all levels.

The APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, who described Bauchi as APC state, appealed to the party supporters to remain committed and work for the party’s victory at the polls.

Also speaking, Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau State, who is the Director-General of Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of party loyalists at the event.

“Let’s continue to vote for APC and continue to enjoy peace, development and improvement in education and health, among other sectors,” he said.

Abubakar called for unity among party members in the state, saying: “We need to be united to remove the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State.”

The governorship hopeful expressed satisfaction with the party leadership and progress so far made in the party.

President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, APC Vice-Presidential Candidate, Kashim Shettima, Chairman of Progressive Governors’ Forum, Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State and other party stalwarts attended the event.
