Wamakko lauds Buhari for approving construction of 25-km Dange-Danchadi-Bodinga road

The Chairman of Senate Committee on Defence, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the construction of 25-kilometre Dange-Danchadi-Bodinga road.

 

Wamakko, who is also the APC leader in Sokoto State, expressed the appreciation in a statement issued on Tuesday by Bashar Abubakar, his Special Assistant on New Media.

 

The senator thanked Buhari for awarding the contract for the construction of the road that links Sokoto to Gusau and Sokoto to Yauri roads.

 

Wamakko, a former governor of Sokoto State, said that the road would positively impact on the lives of the people of the state, especially considering its immense socio-economic benefits.

 

He also lauded the president for approving the dualism of Sokoto-Gusau federal highway.

 

Wamakko used the medium to call on the benefiting communities to cooperate with the construction firm to ensure the hitch-free execution of the project.

 

He said that already, Mr F.N.Esan, Director of Highways Construction and Rehabilitation Department, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, had since directed engineers in the project to start work.

The statement quoted Esan as saying that the project, which would commence on Wednesday, Dec. 28, would be completed on or before Dec. 27, 2023.
