Police rescue 2 kidnapped girls in Zamfara

The Police Command in Zamfara State has rescued two kidnapped girls after three weeks in captivity.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Zamfara, SP Muhammad Shehu, said in a statement in Gusau on Sunday that the two girls were rescued unconditionally at Nya Mango in Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

 

“The victims are a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl from Gidan Liman Village in Kekun Waje district of Bungudu Local Government Area.

 

“They were abducted on July 15, 2022 in an attack on Gidan Liman.

 

“They have since been united with their families,’’ Shehu stated.
