The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State chapter, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his transparency in the distribution of the COVID-19 palliatives which the Federal Government gave to the state.
The state Chairman of NYCN, Malam Idris Ojoko, gave the commendation in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
Ojoko said that the pro-activeness of the governor had increased public confidence in his administration and enhanced good governance in the state.
He also commended the governor for displaying humaneness, accountability and transparency in the governance of the state since his assumption of office.
“It is unfortunate that in some parts of the country, the COVID-19 palliatives, meant to cushion the effects of the pandemic, were being withheld.
“We, however, remain grateful to our accountable and transparent governor for his proactive leadership.
“Gov. Sule supervised and ensured timely distribution of the palliatives, received from the Federal Government, to the people of the state.
“This action has, indeed, averted possible crisis in Nasarawa State, as being experienced in some states across the country, which have reportedly failed to distribute the palliatives,” he said.
Ojoko reaffirmed the association’s commitment to the uplifting and promoting the development-oriented programmes of the governor and the activities of the youth in state.
The youth leader appealed to the youth in the state to continue to support the Sule-administration to enable it to deliver more dividends of democracy to the citizens.
