AEDC set to reward “loyal” customers – MD

Mr Ernest Mupwaya, the Managing Director, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), says its “2020 Customer Service Week” will be an opportunity to appreciate its customers for their loyalty.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications of AEDC, Mr Oyebode Fadipe, conveyed Mupwaya’s declaration via a statement on Monday in Abuja.

In the statement, Mupwaya was quoted as saying: “This is an auspicious period to demonstrate our appreciation to our esteemed customers and recognise the importance of customer service within an organisation.’’

The managing director said that the 2020 Customer Service Week, which has “Dream Team’’ as its theme, highlighted the significance of teamwork and collaboration in providing outstanding service to customers.

He stressed that for instance, the company, instead of allowing the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic to diminish its service delivery, adopted new work schedules, which enhanced its performance.

Mupwaya said that the company’s representatives would visit an orphanage in Abuja to donate rice, salt, palm oil, vegetable oil, yams, noodles and toilet rolls, as part of activities marking the week.
