The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday released the results of the Edo governorship election in 13 local government areas of the state.
The commission is expecting election results from the remaining five local government areas.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Johnson Alalibo, announced Prof. Akpofure Rem-Rukeh, Vice-Chancellor, University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta, as the Returning Officer who would announce the results.
Alalibo declared that the results from 13 local government areas were ready for collation.

Igueben Local Government Area (LGA) – APC, 5179; PDP, 7870. Registered voters: 46,838, accredited voters: 13404, total valid votes: 13,179, rejected votes: 212 and total votes cast: 13 382
Esan North East LGA – APC, 6556; PDP 13,579. Registered voters: 84,241, accredited voters: 20,825, total valid votes: 20,369, rejected votes: 361, total votes cast: 20,730.
Esan Central LGA – APC, 6,719; PDP, 10,694. Registered voters: 55,569, accredited voters: 17,931, total valid votes: 17,672, rejected votes: 242, total votes cast: 17,914
Ikpoba-Okha LGA – APC, 18,218; PDP, 41,030. Registered voters: 310,073, accredited voters: 61731, total valid votes: 60,052, rejected votes: 1,378, total votes cast: 61,430.
Uhumwode LGA – APC, 5,972; PDP, 10,022; ZLP, 5 and YPP, 2. Registered voters: 73,416, accredited voters: 16,741, total valid votes: 16283, rejected votes: 352, total votes cast: 16,635.
Egor LGA – APC, 10,202; PDP, 27,621. Registered voters: 219,841, accredited voters: 39,709, total valid votes: 38,396, rejected votes: 955, total votes cast: 39,351.
Owan East LGA – APC, 19,295; PDP, 14,762. Registered voters: 91,769, accredited voters: 34,819, total valid votes: 34,246, rejected voters: 515, total votes cast: 34,761.
Owan West LGA – APC, 11,193; PDP, 11,485. Registered voters: 61,193, accredited voters: 23,294, total valid votes: 22,849, rejected votes: 404, total votes cast 23,253.
Oredo LGA – AA, 8, ADC, 160, ADP, 256, APC, 18,365 and PDP, 43,498. Registered voters: 309,968, accredited voters: 64,783, total valid votes: 62,578, rejected votes: 1,302, total votes cast: 63,880.
Esan South East LGA – APC, 9,237, PDP, 10,563. Registered voters: 73,907, accredited voters: 20,274, total valid votes: 19,896, rejected votes: 307, total votes cast: 20,203.
Ovia North East LGA – APC, 9,907; PDP,16,987. Registered voters: 143,009, accredited voters: 28,607, total valid votes: 27,437, rejected votes: 934, total votes cast: 28,371.
